EU & Turkey Relations and EU Projects Management
In the Pre-accession Process of Turkey to European Union, some socio-economic strategies was determined under the named of ‘Pre-Accession Strategy for Turkey'. Governmental and Non- Governmental Organizations and private companies are undertake great responsibility –task and play important roles in the implementation process of the strategies. As a public institution, Kartal municipality has been starting activities and studies to supporting of this process and economic and social development of Turkey. The activities includes seminar, conference, socio-cultural projects and workshop.
 In Kartal Municipality, the EU seminars about ‘realizing a project with the supporting of EU founds' was organized regularly for Kartal Municipality staff. With the participation of EU project experts, at the end of the seminars, a conference and workshop study was planned on 23 May 2007 by the Directorate of Strategy Development in Kartal Municipality . The subject of the conference was ‘ EU and Turkey Relations in the Pre-accession Process of Turkey' and there was a workshop concerning EU Projects.
Nilgün ARISAN ERALP Director of the National Program Secretariat General for the EU Affairs, Zeynep Göğüş news writer and EU expert, Professor Ali Beba EU Project Manager, Director of Strategy Development, ö. Nasuhi SAHIN Barış DUMANKAYA President of Association (IVIAD) was invited as a speaker in the Conference. Also, Kartal Municipality public and staff, directors of public and private institutions in Kartal and representatives of NGO's participated to the conference. |
