Ertuğrul Günay, the Minister of Culture and Tourism visited the “Centre for Raising the Quality of Life” located in Hürriyet neighbourhood of Kartal in July 2007 and had a meeting with Mr Arif Daglar, the Mayor of Kartal. The Minister was accompanied by other district municipality Mayors; Justice and Development Party (AK Parti) Vice Presidents Yüksel Gulhan and Ahmet Tosunoglu, and some of the party members. Mr Günay held a meeting -which was closed to the press- to exchange views with party members about daily news and developments.

Subsequently, Minister Mr Günay expressed his strog support for the ‘KARTALITE project' as a novel initiative which covered almost every aspect of daily life in the district. The centre for Raising Quality of Life is the part of KARTALITE Project which is created by Mayor of Kartal, Mr Arif Dağlar. Minister Mr Gunay also declared his belief about the prospects of this Project. As the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mr. Günay emphasized that he would follow future initiatives, and news bulletins of Kartal municipality.
