Since the day when Mr Arif Daglar was elected as the mayor of Kartal, he was locked into the aim of making Kartal as a leading metropolitan district in İstanbul in collaboration with the central government, parliament, public organizations, institutes, non-governmental organizations and individual citizens. As a result of the joint efforts of Kartal Municipality, central government and İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality, the physical, social and cultural texture of the district has been continually transformed.

The substantial work done by Mr Arif Daglar, the achitect of KARTALİTE Project, in the context of social and modern local governance is being admired by the district community and political circles.

Mr Daglar kept the momentum of systematic efforts to make Kartal a modern district in European standards by maintaining investments into infrastructure, education, social support projects and cultural development centres. It is expected that under the newly formed government the responsibilities and powers of local administrations with the support of Prime Minister Mr Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Mayor of Kartal, Mr Arif Daglar also recognized this fact.
